Power Source: The kitchen scale requires 3 AA batteries or can be powered using the included adapter for a long-term power supply. The scale will automatically shut off after 10 minutes of inactivity.

Turning On/Off: To turn on the digital kitchen scale, press the button when it is powered off. When the scale is on, press the button to tare (reset to zero), and hold the button for a while to turn it off.

Tare Function: This function allows you to place a dish on the food scale or weigh a new item without having to remove the previous items. By pressing the tare button, the scale will reset to zero, ignoring the weight of the dish or previous items.

Units: The large food scale has three unit options: gram, ounce, and pound. You can press the "UNIT" button to change the units on the baking scale.

Baker's Percentage: Place a bowl on the weighing platform and press [TARE] to reset the weight to zero. Add the first ingredient (flour) to the bowl. Once the 100% flour is established, hold the [UNIT] button for a while. The display will then show "%" at the bottom of the screen and "100" in the middle, indicating that the flour is the 100% reference. Remove the flour, and the display will show 0%. Add the next ingredient, and the percentage will increase accordingly until you reach the desired percentage. Repeat this process for all your ingredients. Press [TARE] to clear the reading when you're done.
